Extension Lecture on “The Media and Anna: Representing Corruption” at Jamia

The Department of Sociology, Jamia Millia Islamia is going to organize an Extension Lecture on “The Media and Anna: Representing Corruption”by Dr. Subarno Chattarji.

Dr. Subarno Chattarji is Associate Professor in the Department of English, University of Delhi. He has also taught in Japan and the U.K. He has a D.Phil. from the University of Oxford. He was a Fulbright Senior Research Fellow at La Salle University and the recipient of a Kluge Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Library of Congress.

His publications include Tracking the Media: Interpretations of Mass Media Discourses in India and PakistanMemories of a Lost War: American poetic Responses to the Vietnam War. He is Co-Editor of Globalization in India: Contents and Discontents and An Anthology of Indian Prose Writings.

The programme is scheduled to be held on March 8, 2013 at 11 AM in the Seminar Room of Department of Sociology, Jamia Millia Islamia.
