New Delhi: Nepali Pravasi Sangh (organization of Non-resident Nepalis) organized a ‘Silent March’ today at the capital’s Jantar Mantar for peace and stability in Nepal. Besides Nepalis living in India, many Indians too participated in it.
The President of the Sangh and Programme coordinator, Navraj Dhakal expressed concern over the “fast deteriorating relations between India and Nepal.” He hinted at ‘elements’ that’s damaging century old ties between two neighbours.
A champion of the deposed monarchy Dhakal believes that it is imperative for the monarch to take back charge for smooth democratization on Nepal. He feels that “Communists have only complicated the situation.”
Nageshwar Prasad Jaiswal, the vice-President of the Sangh too was alarmed over the law and order situation in the Himalayan nation. He holds the Communists responsible for increasing violence and political instability and requested India to come to rescue for the larger stability of the country like an “old friend or elder brother.”
Irashadul Haque Irshad, the national secretary of the Sangh to supported for a more affirmative action by India. “Our traditions, faith, and culture are one. It is imperative for India to help Nepal at this crucial juncture for the common interests of both the nations,” he argued.
