TENTH INDIA MONGOLIA EXERCISE NOMADIC ELEPHANT CULMINATES

The tenth India Mongolia Joint Training Exercise named Nomadic Elephant culminated on  06 February 2015 with a grand closing ceremony held at Gwalior Military Cantonment. The event lasted over 15 days of intense joint training and has enhanced the understanding of modalities of operations by both the armies to a great extent.

Brig SC Panwar, SM, Commander of the Indian Brigade addressed all participants and commended them for their enthusiasm and  joint manship during the successful conduct  of training. He also praised the professionalism displayed by both contingents. This exercise has resulted in increased confidence as also mutual interoperability which would assist both armies in case they are called upon to undertake any counter terrorism/insurgency assignments under the United Nations mandate.

Brig Gen D Enkhbaatar of the Mongolian Army also praised the exemplary conduct of joint training and applauded the bond of friendship between the two armies. He said that the professionalism achieved during Exercise Nomadic Elephant was of the highest order and would contribute significantly towards operating jointly in an United Nations environment whenever the need arises. Brig Gen D Enkhbaatar also appreciated the enhancement of mutual understanding and knowledge of each other’s method of carrying out operational assignments and logistics tasks.
