INSAAN International Foundation and BeyondHeadlines thank everyone who offered financial help to let Shivali Malhotra realize her dream to be delegate to speak about peace and India at an international conference in Rome.
Shivali been selected as a delegate for ROME Model United Nations Conference Organized by United Nations. Though she was offered scholarship (accommodation + conference fee) to attend the conference, but she needed money for travel and visa.
Being a physically challenged person, she first reportedly approached Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s charity organization for help. But when not getting satisfactory response, she’s guided by our friend Amit Bhaskar to approach INSAAN (Initiative for Nation Services and Affirmative Action Network) and BeyondHeadlines.
Afroz Alam Sahil and the team extended its full support in raising fund, obviously with the help of all those who donated as well as encouraged others to donate. Our team thanks everyone for reading and helping Shivali, a B.Com (Honors) student at LSR College, Delhi University.
Within a short time of over a week, we successfully raised fund for her so that she could represent India in Rome. We have a list of donors with us, details would be provided upon written request sent through mail at beyondheadlinesnews@gmail.com
INSAAN is an emerging platform for community service, policy research and advocacy.
