Malegaon: The 13th All India Urdu Book Fair in Malegaon has created the history when it broke the record of Mumbai (selling of 54 lakh) only in 7 days. It’s a ten-day book fair started at 3rd January 2013, Friday and will continue till 12th January 2013, Sunday. Which is launched by National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL). The city proved its real meaning of “Urdu Shaher (city)” as well as paved the path for bright future of Urdu.

The publishers have expressed their desire that they are totally ready for organizing the stalls in the book fair in Malegaon every year. Over 50 publishers from different parts of the country have showcased books of different titles in 62 stalls. All are very happy with the co-operation of Malegaon people with a great passion. The Urdu local media and journalists have also played a vital role in the success of the book fair for making an atmosphere. Initially, the publishers had denied to come in Malegaon for book selling. But when it started, then all publishers were totally surprised about the performance of the people. At first day, Books were sold more than of 1 lakh rupees from the stall of National Council. Then, a record was noted of selling the books of 1 lakh 40 thousand in only 24 hours from the Al-Hasnaat book stall. The book named “Who killed Karkare” is sold very rapidly from the Fharos Media stall. And Kausar Usman has informed that the book has been sold more than 300 copies till now. Then the English readers also preferred “The Milli Gazatte” well.

Last year, the same book fair was organized in Bangalore. Where it couldn’t perform well because, the Urdu known people is obviously at a large scale but no any seller is there. On the other hand, the book fair in Malegaon worked above the expectations with creating a great history. The people of Malegaon are purchasing the books madly. Because, they are very fond of education and books. And every day it created a record. Selling of 33 lakh books only in 4 days is also a record in itself. The publisher praised the performance of the people heartily. Even they do not get the time for refreshment in whole day. Finally, it shows the love of the Malegaon people for Urdu language which they proved by creating a history in Urdu Book Fair.

Besides, the people also involved in the fair from Chandod, Manmad, Yeola, Nasik, Chalisgaon, Shirdi, Kopargaon, Ahmed Nagar, Bhusawal, Shahada, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Dhule, Khuldabad, Aurangabad, Thane, Mumbra, Bhiwandi, Pune and Mumbai. They all got benefit of the book fair.
