The much awaited Pune Fashion Week (PFW) began on Friday in the IT city of the country amidst chilling cold pervading across the city. The country’s leading designers and models will sashay down the ramp during the festival. The star attraction of the fashion week on the second day was international fashion designer and Puneite Nivedita Saboo show which set the ramp on fire.
The first day of Pune Fashion Week, 2014 opens with echoing applauds. The evening witnessed a galaxy of attendees from various genres – actors, socialites and designers.
Talking on the occasion of PFW Season-5, Mr. Badal Saboo- Managing Director, Pune Fashion Week expresses, “It is indeed our pleasure to host the grand season 5 of Pune Fashion Week. As a property, we have evolved over the years in terms of our offering to the crème de la creme of the city. The first 4 seasons of PFW was spent building up the presence and international design exposure to our audiences. In Season 5, we are stepping up to showcase the superlatives in creativity by celebrated designers of the industry with a mesmerizing experience to cherish which is bound to be one of the history creators for the fashion scene is Pune.’’
The evening marked its sartorial elegance with “Rococo goes Tropical” by Rajdeep Ranawat creating an unusual striking cocktail on the first day of Pune Fashion Week.
Followed by Amy Billimoria, unveiling a magnificent glorified collection, “Earth 21”, paying a tribute to our Mother Earth saw Aditi Govitrikar walking the ramp for the designer.
Ulka Bafna Vohra showcased her collection ‘NIRBHEEK’, which ambitiously aims to add a tasteful softness to the powerful woman of today. Lisa Ray graced the ramp as showstopper for Ulka Bafna Vohra.
Bhairavi Jaikishan’s collection based on feelings and emotions, focuses on giving the wearer confidence and grace. Every ensemble revolved around a large spectrum of colors that evokes happiness and a joy for living.
The gorgeous ensembles and present exemplary designs added a striking charm to the evening.
Apart from Fashion shows, people can enjoy Arena Exhibition, Wine and Cheese Fest, Grape Stomping and much more at the splendid Season 5 of PFW.
