DHULE: All India Majlis E Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Councillor and Shahada Town MIM City President Saddam Hussain Teli ( 24) was brutally stabbed to death by ex Congress councillor Mukhtar Shaikh and his henchmen on Wednesday. Teli had led the party in the municipal council polls, winning four seats and had emerged to be a major challenge to the forty year domination of Congress party in the two and his win had left his rival jealous and angered, locals said.
The Dhule police said that two groups got into a fight over drawing water from a water tanker sent to the Garib Nawaz locality in Shahada, which is currently facing acute water crisis since the onset of summer . The groups — one led by former Congress councillor Mukhtar Shaikh and the other by the son of AIMIM corporator Zahida Bi had got into a fight over the petty issue, police said.
The AIMIM councillor’s son was injured in the fight and was later admitted to the town hospital. Hussain, had gone to visit the injured man at the hospital when he was accosted by the accused and was stabbed by four people outside the hospital and died on the spot.
Locals had seen Shaikh along with his armed henchmen run away from the spot in a vehicle after the murder. No sooner than the news of Hussain’s death spread , there was stone-pelting in the locality with a huge mob targeting Shaikh’s house.
Family members of Hussain, along with AIMIM MLA Imtiyaz Jaleel, held a protest in Shahada and said they would not bury Hussain till the main accused Mukhtar Shaikh was arrested.
MIM Supremo Asaduddin Owaisi in his tweet to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis demanded the arrest of the Congress workers behind the murder. In his earlier tweet he had said that will the Congress condemn its own partymen for murdering the MIM councillor and the act shows that all political parties are against the political self empowerment of the muslims.
Meanwhile Abrar Shaik, a senior MIM worker from Dhule said that attack on young muslim political leaderships shows that the Congress had cultivate a goonda force amongst the muslims for the past forty years. These muslim goondas in Congress got all their family members elected and have been a threat to democratic reforms in the muslim electoral space.
Now, with MIM giving space for political empowerment it is putting an end to this corrupt and nefarious muslim crime mafia of the Congress and it is now resorting to murdering young educated political leaders during the holy month of Ramdan, he added. However, MIM unit of Shahada maintained that the new generation will completely overthrow the fascist goondaism of Congress muslims and will help in the construction of a strong India.
Akbaruddin Owais’s son Nooruddin Owaisi in his post stated that Saddam Hussain Teli’s martyrdom would bring about a revolution in the muslim community who will overthrow the goondas ruling over them in the near future. The locals reported that the murders were involved in large scale illegal mafia operations in Shahada and Dhule District and same connect runs between the current ruling goonda muslim Congress politicians in Maharashtra which is preventing the rise of an educated and new political leadership amongst Maharashtrian muslims.
