Kondhwa: The Rs 1000 crore Kondhwa is getting bigger and bigger day by day even as the Special Branch (SB) of Pune Police conducted preliminary inquiries in connection with the case. A team of plain clothed Special Branch personnel fanned out to different areasa of Kondhwa and inquired with the Mutawallis and trustees regarding different ownership and sale related documents of the land.
According to highly placed sources, the Pune Police Commissioner Rashmi Shukla had ordered the inquiry after the commissionerate was informed about the massive land scam of Wakf property by the sate home department after it received probe orders from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The probe was ordered after MIM MLA Imtiaz Jaleel had written to the Chief Minister demanding all the land transactions of the said land be declared illegal citing that it was an Inam Grade 3 Land in the name of Alamgir Masjid Trust. The 46.01 acres of land is located in the prime commercial areas of Kondhwa.
Meanwhile, the locals have welcomed the development and said that scam was a result of local criminal mafia, agents,trustees, mutawallis, corrupt educated elite class which came together and sold the muslim community to the market during the past thirty years. The MIM party office bearers maintained that around a lakh members of MIM from across the country have expressed their willingness to register protests against the muslim criminal mafia which had taken over the community during the past forty years.
“ Nobody raised a voice fearing threats to their lives from this organized crime syndicate comprising of trustees and big time builders. These builders are cheats of the highest order and the customers should not buy property from their projects as they believe in cheating, stealing and looting wakf land. A massive awareness campaign has been started to make Kondhwa Wakf Land as a national issue ,”MIM office bearers said.
Meanwhile , the MIM has appealed to the muslim community to come out in full support against the corrupt trustees terming them as an organized criminal and bloody thirsty mafia created by the NCP-Congress government to self destroy the muslim community. Meanwhile, the wakf initiative has received a major boost with strong support declared by Asaduddin and Akbaruddin Owaisi.
