Jamia Library conferred with the ‘Highest Usages Award’ by ProQuest

New Delhi : Dr. Zakir Husain Library, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has been conferred with the ‘Highest Usages Award’ by ProQuest, world’s leading research database providing company.

Mr. Spencer Pixton, Regional Support Manager, ProQuest bestowed the ‘Highest Usages Award’ for the year 2018 to Mr. Sahabuddin Azmi, Offg. University Librarian, JMI. The programme was well attended by about 100 participants including faculty members, research scholars, students and library staff of JMI. Prof. Mohd. Zahid Ashraf, Hony. Director (Academic), JMI graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He praised the efforts put by the faculty, researchers, and library staff to achieve the milestone.

Dr. Zakir Husain Library, JMI organized a lecture on “Academic Support Service using e-Resources-Experience from Asia Pacific Regions” on 27th Nov. 2018. The program was followed by conferring the ‘Highest Usages Award’ to Jamia Millia Islamia for the year 2018.

Mr. Spencer Pixton also shared his thought-provoking experiences regarding research databases and documents archive. Students and researchers actively participated and asked questions to the speaker.
