KARGIL : The final match of the traditional archery tournament, organized by J&K Police Kargil in the supervision of SSP Kargil, Shri. Sujit Kumar at Khree Sultan Choo Sports Stadium Bemathang here, under Civic Action Programme was held between the Single Star Trespone and the Shabab Tambis-A. The Single Star Trespone won the final match by 7 points in an exciting contest.
Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC, Kargil, Haji Asgar Ali Karbalai was the Chief Guest on the occasion, while Deputy Commissioner/Chief Executive Officer, LAHDC, Kargil, Shri. Mohammad Sadiq Sheikh was Guest of Honor.
While addressing on the occasion Haji Asgar Ali Karbalai lauded the role of District Police Kargil and said that organizing sports events will help to bring better relationship between police and public at grass root level and it is the best way to keep youth away fetra bad habits.
Karbalai stressed upon the people to carry on the traditional and ancient archery game and congratulated the winner team for their great performance. He also stressed upon the children to hard work in their studies along with sports activities.
Earlier, Addl. SP Kargil, Shri. Mohmmad Yonus Bhat briefed the ongoing programme being taken at Kargil under Civic Action Programme by District Police Kargil. He also present vote of thanks.
Later, the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor distributed the winner up and runner up trophy among the teams and also present medals to the players.
ADC Kargil, Shri. Hassan Khan, District Officer, Dy.Sp Hqrs Abdul Khaliq, Dy. SP DAR, Reyaz Ahmad, other Police Officers and large number of people were also present on the occasion.
