Jamia Students Curate a Documentary Film Festival – “Ainaa”

A Documentary Film Festival – “Ainaa”, curated by the students of MA Convergent Journalism at the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia is going to be held on January 24, 2014 on the university campus.

“Ainaa” is a unique Documentary Film Festival which will present documentaries that have been conceptualized, shot, edited and directed by the Final Year students of M.A. Convergent Journalism of AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia.

A reflection unto society, each documentary featured in “Ainaa” fosters a thought and hopes to leave the audience with a lasting message. “Ainaa” holds a mirror to society, both to the good and the bad around us.

The following six documentaries will be screened at the Festival:

1)                  THIS FILTHY LIFE (18 mins.)

2)                  KAANSUTRA (15 mins.)

3)                  PLEASE MIND THE GAP (20 mins.)

4)                  HEAD IN THE STARS (19 mins.)

5)                  WHAT’S WRONG WITH MY ISLAM? (23 mins.)

6)                  UNCLE BOND (22 mins.)

The screening is scheduled to be held on January 24, 2014 from 4 PM onwards in Dr. M.A. Ansari Auditorium, Jamia Millia Islamia.
