A report in The Independent claims that 36 out of the 37 fresh corpses found in the hospital next to the Rabaa Al Adawiya mosque in Cairo were shot either on face or chest. All the dead were Muslim Brothers or their friends or family. There were no dead policemen.

According to the Health Ministry, 72 people were killed and 292 others injured in these clashes that broke out on Saturday between security forces and the pro-Morsi demonstrators.

Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan has reportedly lashed out at the European Union and others for not condemning the latest killing in Cairo strongly enough.

Egypt Solidarity Forum Convenor Omair Anas has condemned military action against peaceful protesters against military coup at Raba’a Al Adawiya in Cairo.

The Forum held military and officials in interior ministry responsible for killing and injuring of peaceful protesters, and demanded immediate resignation and inquiry against them.

“The Forum also condemn military coup against the elected president and demands to reinstate President Muhammad Morsi. The Forum will soon announce protest march against the massacre and military coup at Egyptian embassy in New Delhi,” Mr. Anas said in a statement.

“The Forum strongly condemns the United States, Russia, China and European countries for their failure to condemn the massacre and hold military responsible for it.

“Indian government’s silence over unfolding events in the region is also against India’s long term interest because India’s relation with the region is not only between the regimes but also between the two people. It is important for India to support people’s demand for justice, democratic rights and peace in the region.”
