Indian Selectors Opt for a Young Fresh Team Against England

The Indian selectors on Thursday placed their bets on fresh bloods while announcing the squad for the first two ODI’s against England.

Sreenath Arvind, Umesh Yadav are the surprise selections. While Varun Aaron, who did not play a single-game on England’s tour retained his place.

Pertaining injury crisis kept Maestro batsmen Sachin Tendulakr along with some other big names out of the couple of ODI’s.
Long term absentees include Yuvraj Singh,Rohit Sharma,Virender Sehwag and Munaf Patel,as they failed to recover in time.

Off-color Harbhajan faced an axe from the Squad; the selectors preferred Ashwin over him. While Punjab leggie Rahul Sharma have received his maiden international call-up.

Gautam Gambhir makes a comeback after recovering from the concussion.
Praveen Kumar will spear-head rookie bowling department along with Umesh Yadav and Vinay Kumar.

An interesting fact draws the attention only skipper Dhoni is aged 30 plus while rest of the brigade is below 30’s.This clearly gives an indication of change in Indian Cricketing Era from the old-guards to the young faces.

The first two games will be played on 14th October and 17th October in Hyderabad and New Delhi respectively.
